Refund & Cancellation Policy

We want you to be happy with AI Video Genie. This policy explains how cancellations, refunds, and credit consumption work.
1. Cancelling your subscription
- You may cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Subscription or from the Chargebee customer portal linked there.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain full access and any unused credits until that date.
- We do not charge a cancellation fee. We do not automatically prorate partial months — see the refund window below.
2. Refund window
We offer a 14-day refund window from the date of your initial paid subscription purchase, subject to the conditions below.
- The refund window applies to your first paid subscription only. Subsequent renewal charges are not refundable except where required by law.
- You must have consumed fewer than 20% of the monthly credits included in your plan. Once you exceed that threshold the value of the subscription is considered substantially delivered.
- Refunds are processed back to the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days.
3. Non-refundable items
- One-time credit top-up purchases (add-ons), once any credit from the top-up has been consumed.
- Charges older than 14 days for subscriptions, except where local consumer protection law requires otherwise.
- Renewal charges that you did not cancel in advance — please use the customer portal to cancel before the next renewal date.
- Charges associated with accounts terminated for violations of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy.
4. Failed renewals and dunning
If a renewal payment fails, our billing processor will retry the charge over a 21-day window and notify you by email. If all retries fail your subscription will be cancelled automatically and your account will revert to the Free tier without losing your data.
5. How to request a refund
Email billing@aividgenie.com from the address on your account, include your invoice number (from the receipt email), and a brief reason. We aim to respond within two business days.
6. Statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law in your jurisdiction (for example, the right of withdrawal under EU consumer law). Where such rights apply they take precedence over this policy.
