Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 12, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how AI Video Genie uses cookies and similar technologies to recognise you when you visit the Service. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used to make websites work, or to work more efficiently, and to provide reporting information.
2. Categories of cookies we use
Strictly necessary
Required for the Service to function. These cookies handle authentication (session cookies set by NextAuth) and protect against cross-site request forgery. They cannot be disabled without breaking the Service.
Functional
Remember your preferences such as default voice, caption style, and last-visited project. These are first-party and persist for up to 12 months.
Analytics
Help us understand how the Service is used so we can improve it. We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. These cookies are set only with your consent where required by law and can be disabled at any time.
Marketing
We do not currently set third-party marketing cookies. If that changes we will update this policy and obtain your consent first where required.
3. Managing cookies
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent the Service from functioning. EU and UK visitors are shown a consent banner on their first visit; you can change your choices at any time by clearing site data and reloading.
4. Do Not Track
We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where supported by your browser, treating it as an opt-out of analytics cookies.
5. Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of cookies changes. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent revision.
