Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: May 12, 2026
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) sets the rules for using AI Video Genie. It is incorporated into our Terms of Service and applies to all users of the Service. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy, with or without notice, and may report illegal content to law enforcement.
1. Prohibited content
You may not use the Service to generate, host, or distribute:
- Content that sexualises minors, or any form of child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
- Sexually explicit content depicting real people, or non-consensual intimate imagery.
- Content that impersonates a real person— their face, voice, name, or likeness — without their explicit, documented consent. This includes politicians, celebrities, and private individuals.
- Content that promotes or incites violence, terrorism, hate speech, or discrimination against protected groups.
- Content designed to mislead voters or interfere with an election or referendum.
- Disinformation that is intended to defraud or to cause material harm (e.g. fake news framed as a legitimate publication, fake endorsements, financial scams).
- Content that infringes the intellectual property rights of others, or that includes trademarks, brand assets, or third-party copyrighted material without the right to do so.
- Content that violates applicable law in any jurisdiction where the content is created, hosted, or made available.
2. Prohibited behaviour
- Circumventing or attempting to circumvent rate limits, credit quotas, or other technical controls.
- Reverse engineering, scraping, or programmatically accessing the Service outside of any documented API we make available.
- Sharing your account or login credentials with third parties. Multi-seat use is available on team plans.
- Using the Service to develop a competing product, including using outputs to train competing AI models, where prohibited by our upstream providers’ terms.
- Probing, scanning, or testing the security of the Service without our prior written consent. Coordinated disclosure of vulnerabilities is welcome — email security@aividgenie.com.
3. Voice cloning — consent required
Voice cloning features (where available on paid plans) may be used only with voices for which you have documented consent. We may require evidence of consent at any time. Cloning the voice of a real person without consent violates this policy and may violate law in your jurisdiction.
4. Disclosure
Where AI-generated video could reasonably be mistaken for real footage of real people or events, you must clearly disclose that the content is AI-generated. Platforms (TikTok, Meta, YouTube) increasingly require such labelling and your use must comply with their rules.
5. Reporting violations
To report content or behaviour that violates this policy, email abuse@aividgenie.com. We review every report and take action where appropriate, which may include removing content, suspending accounts, and notifying authorities.
6. Enforcement
We may, in our sole discretion: remove content, refuse renewal, suspend or terminate accounts, withhold pro-rated refunds for the billing period of the violation, and cooperate with law enforcement. Repeated or severe violations result in permanent termination.
